Seppe Smits and Sebbe de Buck are on fire right now. Watch the pair unleash their gooiest Belgian moves on the biggest snow setup of the year.
Seppe Smits and Sebbe de Buck have been dropping their Waffles and Hammers episodes all winter, and their latest, from the snow-shaping porno that is the Nine Knights in Mottolino Livigno, is easily one of the standouts.
With the helis flying overhead, and some of the best snowboarders on the planet at the sessions, both dudes were on fire. Sebbe absolutely sent it with his recognisable, insanely good style and Seppe got super tech with a backside triple cork 1440 nosegrab - the first he's ever landed.
We've seen a LOT of footage from the event already, with Sven Thorgren's Nine Knights edit, as well as the official Nine Knights 2015 event recap, but this new one is a welcome addition. When the setup is as sick as this and has so many options for hitting it, it doesn't really ever get boring.
From Waffles and Hammers: Storm the Castle! The Suzuki Nine Knights were held april 5th-10th in Mottolino Livigno and once again, the Schneestern shape crew did an outstanding job on building a completely shreddable, life-size medieval castle in snow. Our Belgian waffles stormed it big time and although they couldn’t find the fair maiden in the tower, nor the holy grail, they took home some prestigious prizes.
The conditions were perfect and the level of riding was as impressive as the castle itself. Sebbe De Buck finished 4th but he won the prize for “Best Style Snowboarding" for his super smooth tricks throughout the contest. Sven Thorgren became king of the castle, Tor Lundström came in second and Seppe Smits completed the podium in 3rd place with a super stylish backside triple 1440 nosegrab, his personal first! Next to the bronze medal on the big air, Seppe also won the prize for “Best GoPro Moment" with his GoPro edit.
