If you haven’t heard of Brage Richenberg yet, whip that notepad out and jot the name down. This kid from Norway absolutely slays and best of all, has crazy-good style on his snowboard. In the latest of our Top to Bottom series, we follow Brage for one continuous run through Laax’s world-famous Curnius terrain park.
Brage stomped this top to bottom run first try and it has some crazy stylish tricks in it. From that stalled out noseblunt and effortless frontside 270 on to his Michael Jackson slide, Brage does everything with so much swagger it literally hurts. Afterbang for days…
A couple hours after we filmed this, Brage went for a few practice runs on the Burton European Open slopestyle course (which we attempted to keep up with him on…) and a few hours later, qualified first in the semi finals. The very next day he only went and won the damn thing in finals! Mark our words, this kid’s going places.
Thanks for taking the time Brage!
About our Top To Bottom series: We think that a lot can be said about a person’s snowboarding if you give them the freedom to interpret the mountain in their own way. This season we’ll be following a bunch of riders for one run of their choice. Be it a rail line, kicker line, or just a side hit run, we think that once in a while it’s important to strip back all of the extra stuff that you see in edits these days and present snowboarding as you or I would see it on the mountain. We’ve opted to ditch music and fancy editing and present one continuous run of raw, honest snowboarding. We hope you dig ‘em.
