In the first of our new Top To Bottom run series presented by iON cameras, we follow Olympic silver medallist Ståle Sandbech through the Stubai Prime Park.
Ståle Sandbech is one of the most stylish snowboarders on the planet. We caught with him at the Prime Park Sessions at Stubai where many of the world’s best had pitched up to train on some serious booters.
While he was definitely whirlybirding 1260s and 1440s on the kickers earlier in the day, Ståle opted to keep it silky smooth and stylish for this top to bottom run, linking together poked out 720s and 540s and some perfect rail tricks on the lower section of the park. It proves that it doesn’t always have to be about the biggest spins, and even the best in the world like to take it back a notch once in a while to focus on style.
We thought Ståle would be the perfect rider for the first of our pro runs as part of our new Top To Bottom contest presented by iON Cameras. The December competition is open NOW, so head here to find out how to submit your runs and enter to win a brand new iON camera.
ABOUT OUR TOP TO BOTTOM CONTEST:
A lot can be said about a rider’s snowboarding if you strip away all of the unnecessary stuff and focus solely on the tricks and lines themselves.
Our new TOP TO BOTTOM contest presented by iON Camera aims to captures this, inviting riders to submit their own top to bottom runs so to show the world how they interpret terrain.
Every month, we will give away a brand new iON Air Pro™ 3 Wi-Fi Camera and a heap of Onboard stash to the best run, as chosen by the Onboard team and a public vote.
We’ll be dropping new runs from pro snowboarders (shot exclusively on iON Cameras) every month for inspiration.
