Following on from last week's ten minute class on glacial travel, the latest episode of Tailgate Alaska In Short takes us through the basics of setting up ropes.

This one's definitely for the more advanced and adventurous of you snowboarders out there, and we'd highly recommend attending a class in person for this one, but if you're ever plan on traveling across glaciated terrain or being in an alpine situation where ropes are necessary, this ten minute class would be a good option for refreshing your memory.

2015 marks the eight edition of Tailgate Alaska, the event is the annual pilgrimage of dedicated recreational riders, professional athletes and the industry to ride the world’s best mountains and deepest snow on the planet. Dates are 3-12 April 2015 at Thompson Pass, Alaska.

Tailgate Alaska offers multiple on-site rescue teams and free daily snow science classes, nightly seminars given by industry veterans and snow safety experts, who share their experience with participants of the event.

We are honored to invite you to ride the best mountains and snow conditions of your life at Tailgate Alaska, check out or contact
