Go Behind the scenes of the ender part of last season's Pirate Movie Productions movie 'Perceptions' in the latest Pirate Log, featuring Gigi Rüf, Elias Elhardt and Manuel Diaz, going flat-out berserk on the spine walls of Alaska.
It's pretty crazy to think that Gigi Rüf has been heading to Alaska every season for the past 11 years. The legendary Austrian rider no longer needs to prove his worth on the hallowed peaks of Alaska, although we'll never tire of watching his precise, cat-like dissection of some of the gnarliest big mountain faces on the planet.
What's really sick to see in the final Pirate Log of the season is the rise of the next generation. Elias Elhardt and Manuel Diaz have been blowing minds over the past couple of seasons with their natural, raw talent in the backcountry, and having these three in one place is the recipe for some hard-charging, progressive snowboarding.
As we all realised when he dropped his seminal part in 'Distorted Reality', Elias Elhardt is a ridiculously talented snowboarder, bringing huge freestyle tricks to lines that most others would be happy just turning down. Manuel Diaz has a different style, hitting lines fast and hard with pure South American power. As a rider who is used to the towering Andean peaks, it's great to see him adapt to the challenging spine walls of Alaska.
