Higher Unplugged Episode 11: Behind the Scenes of Jeremy Jones’ Higher

In the latest episode of Jeremy Jones’ (founder of Jones Snowboards) ‘Higher Unplugged’ we take an up-close and personal look at the unsung heroes of a project of this scale and magnitude: the cinematographers that capture all of the action on camera.

There’s a lot more that goes into making a snowboard movie like ‘Higher’ than meets the eye. From transportational logistics to making sure that everyone on the crew is fed, projects like this are a lot more complex than simply rocking up to snowboard a line.

In episode 11 of Higher Unplugged we go behind the lens to meet some of the project’s true unsung heroes: the filmers and cinematographers. Everything you see Jeremy Jones go through in the movie, these guys have to endure as well (minus some of the actual snowboard lines of course) and that’s no easy feat when you have to lug so much gear around with you.

These guys are working in some of the harshest, most extreme conditions on the planet, with state of the art camera equipment, which can make even the simplest tasks such as backing up footage and charging batteries a real struggle.

Hear from filmer Nick Kalisz how some of these difficulties are managed and get an insight into what we can expect from the full ‘Higher’ movie.

From what we can gather it’s going to be a real spectacle.
