You’d be forgiven for thinking LAAX has a physical shield that provides immunity to the worries of the outside world after watching this. But of course, as we all know, the Swiss resort and home of The Crap Show conjures its magical bullshit barrier from elsewhere. So firmly are they focused on providing the best freestyle facilities this side of the Atlantic, that even the most meandering mind would have no choice but to concentrate on the next park feature in their path, rather than the burdens that await them back home.
Not sure what we’re on about? Be sure to make the pilgrimage there this year and you’ll soon see.

Having had some glorious days in December on Ils Plauns and P60, the crew here celebrate the New Year and new Crap Show season in jubilant style, from fresh mini-pipe ripping to gunfire on the pristine whoops and kicker line. It seems a far cry from the nearby French powder-fest that’s overtaken Instagram in the last few weeks – but ahead of the LAAX open coming at you on the 15th of January, you’ve got to say that more of the what’s seen here looks pretty much ideal.
In the mix for the first edition is a young crew, featuring Jonas Junker, Boris Mouton, Elio Fumagalli, Lars Popp and Florian Fischer – picking up where many Crap Show seniors have left off, with all-too-easy style and tech in equal measure. If you happen to spot any of them in INDY bar, be sure to buy them a virgin daiquiri for us.
