adidas Snowboarding have dropped the first part of their new ‘Nomad series’ which takes the crew to Hokkaido, Japan to test the new 2014/2015 winter collection.
Under the guide of Kazuhiro Kokubo, the crew head deep into the Asahikawa region of the Hokkaido backcountry and score the kind of conditions you’d expect from a country renowned for having some of the deepest powder of the planet: deep, bottomless turns, the softest landings and faceshots for days. Kazu, Jake Blauvelt, Eric Jackson and Helen Schettini all get in on the action and watching this had us drooling all over our keyboards.
After that there’s a change of scenery with Forest Bailey, Keegan Valaika and Louif Paradis taking to the streets of Sapporo. Look out for some big gaps to rails, immaculate style from Louif and some progressive street riding on spots you’ve never seen before.
With one of the most stacked teams in snowboarding, it’s pretty insane to watch the Adidas guys do their thing in such a visually exciting place as Japan, and we’re looking forward to seeing where the Nomad series takes us next.
