“Hundreds of various edits appear on internet nowadays, but we’d like to continue the tradition of longer movies. And mainly show riding by our boys, because they are much closer to Czech & Slovak snowboard community,” says Martin Večerka, Freeride.cz editor-in- chief and movie producer.

Czech & Slovak snowboard scene can’t be compared to strong European nations like Austria, Switzerland, France or Scandinavian countries, but we still want to show that there are few riders that deserve attention. We’ve been filming mainly with members of Horsefeathers Clothing team – street killer Zoltan Strcula and versatile park & backcountry riders Petr Horak and Dusan Kriz.

Czech Flow team represent siblings Dan & Ondrej Porkert and you can look forward to unique style of Roman Dlauhy, Stepan Rokos and Lukas Bendak as well. Couple of other friends will have their shots in final movie too.

This winter offered us great conditions in our countries after a few years of desparate seasons and therefore we could film mainly in Czech & Slovak locations during January. Then our crew headed for couple of shootings to Alpes, mainly Arlberg, to get some backcountry footage. We’ve gathered quite a lot of material, but we keep on filming until the last snow disappears.

Unfortunately, the truth is that snowboarding is not experiencing such boom in our country as it used to be. Printed magazines already died, other media have been fighting for survival and many people here say that snowboarding is already dead. Of course, we don’t share this opinion and we definitely don’t want to give up, and therefore we named our movie NEVER TOO LATE.

Everybody knows that filming snowboarding is expensive thing to do and everything costs a lot of money. The more we appreciate the support that our sponsors give us. Yet we couldn’t gather enough finances to make the whole project happen as we would wish. So we decided to try get the support of snowboarding community by asking for help through crowdfunding campaign.
