Sunny, slushy good times with a stacked French crew in LDA – Mount Hood can do one!
Ah, the French summer – amazing at the best of times, even when Les Bleus haven’t snagged themselves a World Cup. The sun’s rays beat harder than a sous-chef mixing a raw egg through some steak tartare, the wine flows like wine (as well it might), and you can even go snowboarding.
The Salomon team get it; recently they piled into what we assume is a fleet of Citroën 2CVs, and headed to Les Deux Alpes en masse for a week of le shred d’été. The resulting edit, French Toast, is here to compete for the multiple Michelin Stars of your approval.
“This is all freewheeling youthful energy, all of the time”
Roll call: Sebi Springeth, Victor Daviet, Max Buri, Flo Corzelius, and a whole mess of up-and-comers that make Vic, with his 27 years, look like an elder statesman. Indeed, this is all freewheeling youthful energy, all of the time, focused on the famous glacier but occasionally spilling over into the skatepark and the lake.
If six minutes of sun-baked freestyle seems a bit much, be advised that the edit itself is a mere 4.20, with B-roll (mainly of cameraman Marco Morandi getting a pasting) accounting making up the difference.
