Oliver Dixon Full Part – A Tribute to His Father, OD3

An incredibly touching full part from American snowboarder Oliver Dixon as a tribute to his dad, who sadly passed away on Father’s day last year.

It’s not every day we watch a snowboard edit that has a definite purpose to it. Oliver Dixon tragically lost his father to a kayaking accident a year ago and with the help of his friends, put out his first full street part this Father’s day in his memory.

It’s touching stuff and has some sick snowboarding in it and we’re confident to say that Oliver Dixon the Third would be real proud.

On June 16th, 2013 I received the worst news of my entire life.

My father (Oliver Woodrow Dixon the Third) had passed away in a kayaking accident…

On Father’s Day.

I felt like the best way to honor his memory would be to not only continue doing the things I love but get my shit in gear and finally put out a full part. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was in elementary school.

Snowboarding and adventuring with my father has been the most fullfilling and important thing I’ve done in my life thus far and I’d like to think I make him proud.
