At the Onboard Send Off Session - one year ago to the day - Swiss rider David Djité took a slam that resulted in the removal of his spleen and some of his pancreas, not to mention a cracked skull, concussion and broken ribs. Heavy. Italian filmmaker Davide Spina and his homie Alvaro Vogel wanted to tell the story of what happened, and how David pulled himself through the dark times to get back on his board and lock down a tasty part.

The crazy thing is his slam doesn't look too bad, as David he said our interview with about the slam and his rehab: "The bail didn’t look bad at all, actually. I saw it on camera a bunch of times now. I couldn’t have been more unlucky, it was the shittiest thing that could happen".

So stoked to see this guy back up and at it. Yeah, David!
