David Djite is a face you have clocked a lot around these here internet parts, but maybe without really realising how much of his riding you've seen. He's cropped up in BYNDxMDLS movies and edits, clips with local homies like Lucas Baume, in end of season slush-pipe bro downs, Crap Shows and even as part of Antti Autti's Statements from a few years back.
"His part dips from the deepest of Japanese powder to a seriously sun-baked looking Laax, but what shines through the whole way is Djite's style"
That's some serious shred credentials there, so it's rad to see him progress to having his own full part in one of the best euro-movies that came out this year - A Love Like Mine is Hard to Find, the last film by Mindset PRDCTNS. Blending smart illustrations and bold graphics with dreamy Super 8 and 35mm film ticked a lot of boxes for us, but the artsiness of the project was fully backed up by the quality of riding, none less so than that of the Double Dee.
His part dips from the deepest of Japanese powder to a seriously sun-baked looking Laax, but what shines through the whole way is Djite's style. Based in Laax, you can tell he's been raised stomping his way through the P60, but with a healthy dose of Nicolas Müller's influence thrown in for good measure. Boy can he land, but he can also ride out through surprises in the terrain just like his local hero.
So get a load of this down your eyeballs whilst you're dreaming up next year's Japow trip or thinking of some rad spring shaping creations. The music, film shots of creative riding had us daydreaming through our day today, hopefully it works the same way for you, too.
