Hoch-Ybrig, nestled in the canton of Schywz, Switzerland, is an oft overlooked mountain gem - potentially due to the relatively short distance to Laax. Once the outpost of late-season Isenseven trips, Hoch-Ybrig hasn't reared its head on the Onboard pages as of late.
Well, Celia Petrig is here to rectify this for us. Growing up near the dominating peaks of Forstberg - Druesberg - Twäriberg; she's honed her snowsliding skills to become one of the most promising Swiss rippers we've seen in a while. With a rich history of riders like Sina Candrian, Elena Könz and Isabel Derungs; Celia's got a lot to live up to.
Celia looks as comfortable in the air as she does on the ground in our opinion. There might be the occasional flap of the arms, and the cheeky hand-touch, but she looks comfortable taking the pop on the majority of these hits. We know it's a season edit, therefore she can cherry pick the nicest shots, but she looks in control of her rotations the whole way round.
That shot at about 2:32 in - how often do you see a fs 360 stalefish? There's more than a fair share of poke on that wee number as well. Is there a little bit of Petter Kristiansen poke on that, or is that just us?
Either way, we're excited to see what Celia can do when the rotations start stepping it up a little. She's definitely got room to spare on the 700 front.
