UPDATE: Bode’s official Absinthe part is offline now, but here are some remixed shots courtesy of Billabong. Check out the full movie on iTunes for the full part!
No two ways about it, Bode Merrill is a certified beast. We are proud to present the second half of his ground-breaking two-song ender part from ‘Heavy Mental’ by Absinthe Films.
There are fewer and fewer snowboarders in 2015 who can lay claim to being true all-rounders, but Bode Merrill is one of the few remaining dudes who can truly slay everything. Whether it be picking through a forested pillow line, hitting street rails in some of the most mind-warping ways imaginable, or blasting double corks in the backcountry, Bode can do it all.

His latest offering, which claimed the final segment in Absinthe Films’ ‘Heavy Mental’ over two whole songs (his second double song ender after Absinthe’s Neverland in 2009 we might add), is no exception, combining some of the most insane snowboarding in the streets and backcountry that we’ve seen all season.
From the huge one-footed straight air over the infamous 90ft Pyramid gap, to his wallride to double kink, to that final trick, Bode’s part is an absolute must-watch.
It’s pretty hard to believe considering how much is loaded into this three and a half minute clip, but it’s worth bearing in mind that what you see here is only half of what Bode filmed last season. For the rest, be sure to check out Absinthe’s ‘Heavy Mental’ in full.
