Yesterday the grand final of the Stairsmasters movie edition was held, a contest featuring street-riding shorts. Eight professional riders representing Québec and the rest of Canada, the United States, and France were all in the running to take home the $10,000 prize. And it was Québec’s Anto Chamberland who took home the pro prize at the Snowboard Jamboree competition presented by Mazda in collaboration with Vidéotron Mobile.

The riders had been asked to produce a one-minute video clip featuring the best stunts they could film in an urban environment. The talents of Anto Chamberland wowed the jury from snowboard movie Déjà Vu. He dominated all the way, earning them $10,000.

Second and third places went to United States’ Aidan Flanagan and Québec’s Jean-Mathieu “Mammouth" Durrette respectively. A $1,000 prize also went to the rider with the most #stairsmasters hashtags on social media: Anto Chamberland. As well as the pro event, amateurs also took part in the “Open" category. Québec’s very own Olivier Chabot took home bragging rights and the $1,000 prize.

The Stairsmasters final was held at the Night Bazaar, the official Snowboard Jamboree party. Le Cercle restaurant was standing-room only for this exciting event!
