We're gonna throw it back to a bit of golden European snowboard history for this week's FLASHBACK, to the timeless Euro Gap projects, and more specifically, Euro Gap 2.
What initially started as a side-project from Joni Malmi and Paavo Tikkanen, to log all of the extra footage that they'd stacked up over the season, snowballed into this weird smorgasbord of snowboarding, skateboarding and general tomfoolery from two of Finland's finest, as well as a lengthy roster of supporting castmembers.
JP Walker, Joni Malmi and Nate Bozung singing Backstreet Boys? Yep, that happened in Euro Gap.
Arguably, Euro Gap 2, has more snowboarding that Euro Gap 1, but in all honesty that isn't particularly hard to do. But that's sort of what makes some of the earlier snowboard films so rad, it's what makes us put on the rose-tinted glasses and indulge in some heritage humping.
Featuring BJ Leines, Devun Walsh, Ingemar Backman, Jeremy Jones, Jonas Emery, JP Walker, Nate Bozung, Sebu Kuhlberg, Steve Ruff, Tero Ainonen, Willie Yli-Luoma, Daniel Mikkelson, Jussi Oksanen, DCP, Danny Kass, Romain De Marchi, Trevor Andrew and a whole host of early 00's heavyweights, this is essential viewing if you're a Euro Gap virgin.
We're not even joking when we say we watch at least one of the Euro Gap films in full, at least once a month.
