This just in from The Manboys! Some late season party-boarding in Whistler complete with pondskims, sidehits, some damn fine park ripping and a session on one seriously sizeable hip.
When spring rolls around, Whistler Blackcomb is one of the best places on the planet, hands down. With two epic mountains covered in slushy sidehits, some world-class terrain parks, and a town bustling with energy, Whistler in spring is everything that is good ‘n’ proper about snowboarding.
The Manboys wasted no time in making the most of it, and from the boarderstyle madness at the Monster Shred Show, to mellow follow-cams through the park, Mark Sollors, Rusty Ockenden, Jody Wachniak and co. had an absolute blast in the sunshine.
It all cumulates with a session on a monster hip over on Whistler, with the boys inviting over some of their international homies to join in the session. Arthur Longo sends it the moon, Kazu Kokubo brings his trademark style and Craig McMorris joins in on the action.
All told, this was one of the most enjoyable edits we’ve watched in a while, and if it doesn’t make you long for laid back laps in the slush, we’re not sure what will.
From The Manboys:
Hi-yo, Manboys here. This is some stuff that went down with us this late spring. Some of it will shake you up and really make you rethink what’s important to you in your life. And some of it will make you thirsty. Like literally dehydrated. We don’t know the science behind it, maybe something to do with crying or maybe just the heat from your computer causing you to sweat? Whatever it is, we apologize, but we cannot prevent it. So yeah: Monster Shred Show, end of the season goofing, and a spine on Whistler that we hit at one point with some international pals that know how to send it like a bunch of surgeons. Enjoy, amigos!
