Passion is an incredibly difficult thing to quantify when it comes down to the nitty gritty. It’s what drives all of us, and pushes us to pursue the things we love. Whilst many riders have been lucky enough to grow up in places where they can live their passion, there are many more that have that burning feeling, but with no way to sooth it.
We’d imagine that growing up in South Korea and being stoked on snowboarding, would be worse than some of the looks people get when they say they’ve grown up in London and are into snowboarding.
There was an article on South Korea’s emerging freeski scene on the two planked website Newschoolers, at the end of last year. The general gist of the piece was that whilst the level of riding isn’t off the charts, the enthusiasm for it is.
If you were ever that kid growing up in the flatlands, or on the east coast; we reckon you know the feeling of waiting for the next magazine to drop or DVD to be released.
Whilst many people lament the websisode and shredit, there is one thing that they’re good for; keeping the stoke alive, across the world.
