Meatgrinder: This Step-Up at Stevens Pass is Pretty Gnarly

It’s been a dry few seasons over in the Pacific Northwest, and after a joke of a winter in 2014, a few locals at Stevens Pass came together and made it happpen. Fair play to ’em, that step-up is pretty chunky…

We first caught wind of this feature in a couple of season edits from last year and had been wondering how such a big feature came about.

One year on and we have our answer: a few Stevens Pass locals didn’t quite get their fill during regular mountain opening hours and came together to make the ‘Meatgrinder’ step-up happen after the season was over.

The Meatgrinder was an epic jump built in the Barrier Bowl at Stevens Pass Snow Resort well after the 2014 season was over. This video shows the trials and tribulations of a strong snowboard crew that came together and stopped at nothing to make this mission happen.
