There's no Fourth Phase in this edit from the Laax Surf Club boys. Just meltwater and surfy summer boarding on the diminishing glaciers of Europa.
Here's what the LSC boys said about the past summer seasion: "It was a hard summer. The snow on the glacier was almost gone! The park was closed most of the time and if it was open the slopes were so damn icy we had no chance to film much. But we did our best to create a smooth edit!"
Seems most traditional summer shred spots were hurting this year and a few, like Dachstein, have even had to throw in the towel for the foreseeable future. At this rate it won't be our grandkids we'll be regaling with tall tales of summer shredding, it'll be our own spawn.
Here's their edit blurb too. We're too conflicted by remembering the glorious days of glacier boarding-past and the reality that we're to blame for its demise, to write more: Global warming causes glaciers to melt and permafrost to diminish, which translates into more falling rocks and struggling summer resorts. Soon our beloved summer shreds will be history.
