Check The Checklist Episode 2 – New Indoor Shred Game from Scotland

Remember when Torstein Horgmo would play those ‘In Your Face’ games with his homies? Check out a new team-based take on that game from this crew of Scottish riders – it looks like a great way to improve your riding!

We just got sent this indoor edit from a group of Scottish riders who have come up with a new game called ‘Check The Checklist‘. From what we gather it’s all pretty straight forward:

While this definitely isn’t quite the same as watching Torstein battle Halldor, this still looks like it was a lot of fun to put together, and a bit of friendly competition is always a good way to progress your riding.

Each team comes up with a list of 10 tricks to be completed by the other team on two obstacles (1 rail, 1 kicker). Each team works through the list and once one team has landed all ten (or the allocated time runs out), the round is over and number of tricks tallied up before moving onto the next obstacle. This is repeated to give a total team score out of 20.

In this episode the ‘Purple Cobras’ (Marc McClement and Sam Moorhouse) take on ‘Shaun White Gold Medal First American Team Number 1 They’re The Best Plus Angus’ (Rich McIntosh and Angus Malloch) in what would unfold as a pretty close game with some solid snowboarding.

While this definitely isn’t quite the same as watching Torstein battle Halldor, this still looks like it was a lot of fun to put together, and a bit of friendly competition is always a good way to progress your riding. Why not give something like this a go next time you’re up the hill with your mates?
