The B took over the Zermatt glacier park a couple of weeks back, as the likes of Marko Grilc, Ludde Lejkner, Wojtek Pawlusiak, Niels Schack and Jesse Augustinus rolled into town to throw down with the locals and show the Demonium campers what’s up.
Once again the Burton Summer Camp was a big success – ingredients needed were an amazing park, amazing people, amazing parties and amazing pizza! A record number of participants was the highlight of this year’s camp – 60 people came together in Cervina. Campers came from all over Europe for the same reasons – summer snowboarding at its best while having fun with like-minded people to share their common love for snowboarding.
Burton sent a gnarly crew of riders: Niels Schack, Marko Grilc, Ludwig Lejkner, Max Zebe, Jesse Augustinus and Wojtek Pawlusiak were all onsite to ride and hang with the campers. Without a doubt this week was the best edition oft he Burton Summer camp history in Cervinia.
The weather was in our favour most of the week and kept everyone happy and riding on the glacier met everyone’s expectations. Slushy lines, no lift queues and definitely the sickest summer park in Europe at the moment, brought out the best of all the campers and Burton riders who were riding and filming like were was no tomorrow for the entire week! A big thank you goes out to the shapers of Snowpark Zermatt for their amazing work!
A few changes have been made this year. The Burton Demo center was moved down to the base camp so campers had the possibility to talk with the Burton reps about the new gear and set up their gear every evening. New was also a daily yoga/stretching session after riding. The skate park was invaded nonstop by campers and got torn to pieces all week. The driving range offered the opportunity to work on golf skills. And – of course – parties. Campers were in party mood destroying every dance floor and invading every bar.
The Demonium Crew wants to thank especially all campers, Burton riders, Burton Europe, the Cervino Tourist Management, media for their support, all infrastructures used (Sound Club, Sertorelli Sport Hotel, Cervinia Golf Club, Easy Rider Pro Sho, Immobiliare Monte Cervino, Cervino SPA, Snowpark Zermatt) and of course Lino’s Bar for allowing us to invade his place for yet another week of mayhem.
See you there next summer!
