More often than not, some of our most memorable days snowboarding aren't the ones spent lapping the heated 8-person chair in some postcard-perfect über resort, but the ones spent making snowboarding happen for yourself. Whether it be setting up your own rail, heading out into the streets to find a spot, or hiking a mountain face by foot, snowboarding off your own back is always a rewarding experience.
