Mt. Baker is one of the world’s finest powder traps, and the 686 team wasted no time last March searching out every last stash. Watch what Forest Bailey, Cam Pierce, Pat McCarthy and more got up to once most of the locals had already stashed away their boots for the summer.
Anyone who has ever visited Mt. Baker in its prime will be able to tell you that it’s practically engineered by nature for getting pitted in the trees. Last March, after most of the locals had hung up their boots after a slow and unreliable winter season, the 686 were out in the side and backcountry grafting for that one last powder turn, face shot or kicker landing.
This edit is the outcome of that miracle March and it has us absolutely frothing for some bottomless frontside turns this winter.
Featured snowboarders: Forest Bailey, Cam Pierce, Sebi Geiger, Mike Gray, Andy Berginsperry, Joe Bosler, and Patrick McCarthy.
After most locals had hung up their boots after a slow winter, the 686 team capitalized on a miracle March at Mt Baker. Bobbing in and out of the trees during heavy snowfalls and taking advantage of sunny skies with major jump builds, the crew systematically checked off every Mt Baker feature. Nothing beats good times with a great crew on an epic mountain. Thanks Mt Baker!
