Product of The Week: Lobster Nosejob

One of the creative discovery we made at ISPO last February was this new for this season Lobster Nosejob board. Check this bad boy out…

If you’re a fan of Halldor, of flexy jib and park boards, of Triple Base, and a DIY maniac, the Nosejob is definately made for you. And even if you only tick one of the above boxes, the Nosejob is still a dream board.  First of all on the construction itself, Lobster has chose great quality components such as: reinforced wood core with soft flex, sintered base and Tri-Ax laminates make this a sick stick in most park and jib conditions.  Its construction is a cross between the jibbaord and the park baord: TBT opitimized for rails, core and laminates that are snappy and poppy and base and edges that give the fastest and most responsive ride.

Outline shape: Twin Flex pattern: Twin Flex rating (1-10): 6-7-6

Size: from 150 to 154 (cms)

Effective edge: 117 cm

Radius: 7,55m (very manouvrable and versatile)

Rayon Set Back: 0

Medium stance: 57 cm

But now comes the surprise: the well-named Nosejob comes in one size with a squared off nose and tail, which can be both cut down to any size and shape so long as the cut stays outside of the stitch line! That will make the final board anywhere between 148 and 154, but also it will be one of a kind. The newly cut edge is already waterproof so you are good to go straight away. The wood core and metal edges actually stops at the stiches, So both nose and tail are entirely cutable – and also very light if you keep them. The Nosejob comes with a crazy squared off nose together with some tools and templates – like boobs and ass as the ‘default template settings’. Halldor and Eiki already cut hammer heads, rock hands and even holes to invent new grabs! Check out Halldor part in Nike “Never Not”, Helgasons “DTF” or the recent report of the Rock A Rail event in Den Haag. On this last video, you can clearly see how flexy the Nosejob is directly on Halldor’s first trick.

Beyond the technical aspects, this board is actually the first one of its kind and will probably get all the collectors go crazy, also because the graphics are so… Helgason? And from what Halldor can say about it:

It’s the best thing that has happened since the wheel. Have fun with it!

So all in all, a great idea, a great jib board, a lot of fun, and certainly the ultimate collector’s item this season. Check Lobster’s website to find out more on this years range of products.
