Check out this preview of some of the sick new products that HEAD Snowboards are going to be treating you with this coming 2011/2012 season.

HEAD Snowboards is a company whose philosophy is all about people, innovation and high quality products. Ever since it was created after the small independent Blax merged with the large sports corporation HEAD in 2000, the company has gone from strength to strength and now boasts a pro team with riders such as Christophe Schmidt and Fredrik Evensen on board. Their products continue to improve year after year and judging by the look of the forthcoming 2011/2012 season things don't seem to be slowing down.

When we checked out what they had on show at the ISPO this year, Christophe Schmidt's new HEAD beer was not the only thing that caught our eye. Head old boy Dan Wakeham talks us through the gear...

New is the KERS technology which, although featuring last year in just the tail, now features in the tip as well. Also new for 2011/2012 is The Evil which features an interesting sidecut that rises slightly in certain areas, giving you a full effective edge even when on an angle. Another flat based board on show is one that has had its Eddie-style aesthetics designed in conjunction with a UK design team, which give it a unique vibe thanks to the pub-style fruit machine logos and pound sterling symbols.

The new Team boots and bindings are looking fresh too. The boots are rocking a super loud colour scheme, which is apparently proving popular with the pros, as well as an internal adjustment feature that helps riders with narrow feet get a top notch fit. The bindings feature a fall away strap system which makes sure you don't break or damage your straps by standing on them and a dampening area which not only absorbs impact it but also acts as a non-slip surface. A great new product in terms of price and quality.
