This Week in Snowboarding #16

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies are a nuisance, or so it goes. Put down your drink, buckle up and start clicking yourself right through another Week in Snowboarding. As usual we have force-fed this post with the best videos, news, and WTF situations from the past seven days. Enjoy!

Tea party fail: Forgetting your sign.

The Stylewars get cancelled due to blizzard conditions. Brandon Hobush teaches the internet how to do a stalefish tuck knee. Jason Robinson scores pow in Chile. Jake Blauvelt walks you through his state of mind. Rome SDS posts the laziest 360 ever.

The Windells shapers and kitchen staff put together a respectable editThe Angry Snowboarder posts the full Snowbored movie. The Peep Show crew does the Camp of Champions.

We launch our Riders of the 00s week with classic clips of Walker, Ettala, and BrightLNP shreds Bear Mountain (and talks about his injury, too), but he doesn’t use this awesome sleeping bag. Yobeat shows us how to shred without snow. The Angry Snowboarder gives us the straight dope on product guides. Endeavor go artsy-fartsy. The Afterbang blog finally tells you how to ride switch. The Injured Riders Foundation introduces the GnarJar. This is how our product guide cover came into existence. And this is how much a filmer and a photog have to bring on trips.

"Whether the earlobe is free or attached is a classic example of a simple genetic dominance relationship" is a good pickup line.

Riders of the 00s continue with Benedek, Buuas and Oksanen. Jamie Nicholls enjoys a good shred in NZ. The Italianos were having it last winter, as you can tell from the Too Much Too Serious teaser, and the Let it Snow teaser, inoltre. The Finnish were having it, too: Check the High Guality teaser. And man did they have a lot of snow in Sweden, as you can tell from the Lagnord teaser. And the Germans tear Whistler and its bears apart. Peep this Rip Curl The Launch superpost. The Baw Baw’din crew still makes us believe Australia is good for snowboarding. Learn how to draw a Transworld Snowboarding cover. I don’t get it: Are there really no other bubbled chair lifts in the US? What I know is that they lack unlikely park features and don’t like slow motion. And on a different bombshell, this is how you make ice cream (if you own a car-sized ice cream machine).

White, Jones, and Dakides are next in our Riders of the 00s week. Our friends from Whitelines post a disturbing teaser full of skiing and hence get rightfully banned from Facebook. Knut Eliassen and Stian Solberg ride Northstar. Forum announce their F’It world tour dates. We all have our stereotypes, but this Russian teaser is actually really good! Speaking of which, Snowboard porn can also be quite pleasant on your retina (possibly NSFW). Here are five tricks from the upcoming In Color movie. And some people are even more into Snus than us!

Computer effects: Ruining snowboard videos since day one.

With de Marchi, Rüf and Maas more Riders of the oos appear on our site. König, Klocker, and Greenshields have the greatest first day of the season, ever. The Helgasons skate an ice scraper. Some UK shredders do Belgium, and Knut and Stian are featured in yet another clip. The North American snowboard market remains challenged, while a Southern hemi lad called Chumpy scores some pow worth seeing.

We finish our epic Riders of the 00s list with some banging clips of Müller, Rice and Clark. Chris Grenier gets punked badly. The Ride crew rides Turkey. A lot of colours are to be seen in the Witness the Sickness intro. Speaking of colours: Does anyone else also wonder about the gazillion different goggle lens colours? And as a bonus: If you are one of the many snowboarding mormons you will doubtlessly enjoy THIS!

That’s all for now. We will be back next Friday – unless they force us into rehab.
