This Week in Snowboarding 1/2011

Happy new year and welcome back to our beloved feature ‘This Week in Snowboarding.’ For those of you who spent the last year in preventive custody this is what we do here: Every day we comb the internet in search of the best snowboarding dandruff. And as usual we found tons of interesting interviews, clips, and many other newsworthy items. Here we go again.

Eero doing his Scarf-Face impersonation.

Our mate Angry Snowboarder kicks the new year off with a classic shred flick: Reflections. Yobeat keeps rejecting edits. Sandbox shows you how to make good use of two helis. The Bald E-Gal cup went down.

Outlaw Outruns is a good Euro jib flick. The Runs episodes have a good flow.

Eiki Helgason’s part from The Storming drops, his brother signs for Hoppipolla Headwear, and both lived through some memorable moments in 2010. Role Model’s I’m with Stupid is pretty, pretty good. This Crewzin‘ episode is really insightful. We post a happy new year edit from Process Films, and the AK log from the Pirates, and the TTR‘s Best of Kevin Pearce. Deeluxe releases a promo vid. The Dope movie is dope – and so is the World Rookie Tour TV Show. Frontline‘s pre-December edit is quite good, too. The Ästhetiker release a powder-filled webisode called ‘Chaos.’ Xavier De Le Rue goes Greenland. Olav Stubberud goes filming. And the Angry Snowboarder predicts the future.

LSD: Fostering madness since 1938.

The Quebec edit from The Storming is banger, and the Moose with Hat full movie is, too. Lisa Filzmoser talks about contests. Two Sides of Life is yet another ok Euro flick. Пудра is – you guessed right – a Russian shred flick. The Westbound Boarder reminds us of 10 useful safety rules. This Alley Cats edit looks fun. Givin go Minnesota. The Nike 6.0 Stairset thing stops in Les Arcs. Smith Optics still brings us cool episodes from Idaho.

Isenseven drop their second ever movie, Tripoli. Halldor gets all seriousin this cool edit. Rip Curl drops the Switzerland chapter of the Welcome Home II video. Mitch Tölderer explains how to choose a big mountain line. Whitelines post their favourite snoboard videos of 2010. The Menthol Monday edit looks fun (and features the Michilots). Jones and Bleiler call to action on climate change. The …is fun movie is fairly good… fun. The DC park in Kitzbühel looks sick. This look behind the scenes of the Nike 6.0 Stairset thingy in Castleford is worth your attention. And Elias Elhardt & friends have a fun day in Mayrhofen.

Endor revisited.

Our ‘Access All Areas‘ series takes off as we follow Markus Keller around Laax, and post a mind-boggling clip of Jamie Nicholls and Seb Toots sending it in Davos. Snowboarding apparently shakes hands with the devil (aka the Olympics). ESPN reviews a year in snowboarding and calls Eric Messier, Europe is a country, Zac Hale is sick, we post a great black-and-white desktop wallaper, The Angry S. unearths the classic Elekrep movie, the German 21Fellhorn clip is wicked, the Pirates Art Show looks like a cool thing.

Chas Guldemond wins the Relentless Big Air in Stuttgart. We post another Seb Toots edit from the O’Neill Evolution. Mike Ranquet is featured in the latest Powder and Rails episode. The Mammoth South Park looks stunning. Hands down, Jamie Anderson has the sickest style ever. Eero Ettala tears his ACL. Again. The Ästhetiker post their first clip on the World Rookie Fest in Chile. And of course everyone post tons on things on the O’Neill Evolution in Davos

What else is left to say? Doesn’t really matter, as long as you deliver it in a golden voice

Have a good weekend and we’ll hopefully be back next Friday!
