From 29th of February to 2nd of March the Austrian Masters 2008 are taking place in the k-park in Kühtai and in the Nordpark/Innsbruck.
As the finals of the Austrian Cup Tour (12 tour stops, slopestyle), the Austrian Masters will decide upon the tour champion for 2008.
On Friday the 29th of March, shredders will fight for the slopestyle title in the k-park in Kühtai and on the 1st of March the boys will give the Nordpark halfpipe a go. A small sidenote: the Halfpipe event is a contest opened to everyone, so sign up if you have the balls!
Patrik Huber, the 07 Austrian Slopestyle Master, will have to be on top of his game to defend his title, as a number of strong and upcoming rookies like Simon Pircher, Marvin Salmina or Roland Scharmer are ready for the battle. Last years Halfpipe Master, Andi ‘Mone’ Monsberger, will be faced with the same situation, as the halfpipe riding level of his peers has also improved over the year.
The Austrian Masters 08 are rated as a TTR 3(three) star event and besides the 10.000 Euro prize money, there are valuable TTR points to be collected.
The winner of the Austrian Masters 08 will additionally recieve a wildcard for this years Aesthetiker Jam – Waengl Taengl.
