The Ticket To Ride (TTR) World Snowboard Tour infiltrated the Asian continent this weekend with TTR Three Star slopestyle event, the 5th Red Bull Nanshan Open, providing Sweden’s Hampus Mosesson (SWE) the platform to claim the Chinese title and move into the TTR Ranking Top 30.

16 international riders and three local wildcards showed the Chinese snowboard industry and core spectators top slopestyle progression and talent on the creatively constructed Nokia Nanshan Mellow Park at Nanshan Resort, Beijing. Cut to a final of 8 in perfect conditions, the judges were pushed hard to separate the top podium spots, but with a number one position to fill and a solid run built of a backside 720, frontside 360 Shifty, finished off with a 360 bonk off the barrel, Hampus Mosesson (SWE) lifted the title and 550 TTR Ranking Points.

A deserved second place went to two-time Nanshan Open competitor, Kalle Ohlson (SWE), pulling off a huge backside 720 over the big kicker, a clean frontside 540 then a 270-on-270-off on the extra-large fun-box. Young gun Austin Smith (USA) claimed third position based on his best run consisting of a smooth backside 720, frontside 720, ending with an Indy-to-Fakie on the wall-ride.

As the 5th Red Bull Nanshan Open inspired the Chinese snowboard industry for the future, each rider gains a new ranking position on the present TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch. Mosesson’s win marches him to TTR Rank Nr 29, as he tries to beat his best position of last year as season-ending TTR World Nr 21.
