Snowforum 2011 – St Anton Austria 27-29 April

BoardsportSource, Europe’s business magazine for surf/snow/skate is holding the seventh Snowforum from the 27-29th of April in St Anton, Austria.

After the success of last year’s Forum in Annecy, this year’s annual snowboard conference will be the platform that brings the industry together to discuss the snowboard market and its unique issues.

The ispo opening dinner on Wednesday evening will be followed by two days of seminars and workgroups. This year’s ispo opening dinner speaker is Henning Andersen, CEO of Arctic Challenge and World Snowboarding Championships, who will be looking at the state of the snowboarding competitive scene starting with an impassioned video introduction by Terje Haakonsen.

Seminar topics include:

European and North American 2010/11 snowboard figures, European and North American 2010/11 freeski figures, The online snowboard retail market, Social Media-post fans, Poland-not just a land of milk and vodka and bluesign-greening your production.

The Workgroups will continue to incubate and develop ideas that can be used to drive the industry forward. The concept for the successful Pro Test Italian Onsnow Demo was hatched at last year’s forum.

On Thursday night at the Snowball evening, the European Snowboard Industry Awards will be presented and funds will be raised for environmental causes.

Saturday the 30th of April is an optional riding day.
