The World Rookie Tour showcases the future of snowboarding as well as searching the stars of tomorrow.

In the tenth year and the biggest edition ever, the event program of the World Rookie Fest in Livigno combines a freestyle slopestyle contest, with many other social and lifestyle activities, offering a unique experience for all the participants.

For former participants Seppe Smits, now one of the best snowboarders, it was an honour to come back to the World Rookie Fest in Livigno again, the starting point of his career.

Today’s world best pros like Roope Tonteri , Peetu Piiroinen, Gjermund Braaten and Sven Thorgren have been World Rookie Champions in the past.

The riding level was extremely high, it was insane. Jumps like the backside double 10, a switch backside 9 over the XL jump of 19 metres and stylish jibbing down the perfectly shaped Mottolino Snowpark were made by the snowboarding talents.

Mikko Rehnberg from Finland, born in 1997, took the first place among the male rookies, followed by Haakon Kjoll Eilertsen (Nor) and Erik Bastiaansen (Ned).

The Swiss Ranona Petrig earning the highest step and finished first in the women rookies category.
