The world's best riders are preparing for Sunday's World Championships of Snowboarding Big Air finals where the new male and female Big Air World Champions will be crowned. In the semi-finals, a total of 8 male riders and 6 women advanced to the big showdown.
During the semis, the Canadians raised the bar up high with Max Parrot stomping a huge Backside 14 Triple Cork Mute. Teammate Sebastien Toutant landed a Backside 14 Triple Cork Roast Beef and qualified second. Laurie Blouin qualified first in the women category with a solid Cab Double Underflip Indy.

Slopestyle Qualifications went down today
Under clear blue sky, the Slopestyle qualifications for men went down in the Yabuli winter resort. In the super strong riders field, Petu Piiroinen (FIN) was sending it on the creative course and was granted 87.55 points – the highest score of the day. The 6 best riders from each heat moved forward to Slopestyle Semi-Finals followed by 3 more who advanced with their overall rank.
