A couple of weeks back, Vans Europe’s Russian chapter took over downtown Moscow, constructed an epic-looking streetboard setup, and invited some of Russia’s finest jibbers to throw down. Get the highlights in your eyeballs!
This inner city jib contest located at the Russian city’s FLACON Design Factory was hosted by Vans Europe’s Russian street rider and ambassador Nikita Sekh, and had the vibe of a friendly backyard party outdoors – all in all it went off for five hours, well into the evening!
Vans Russia had certainly built some dope features and rails for the crew to get busy on, including a kink rail with pole jam, a donkey rail, a big wall with a creeper rail, and much more (check the edit above), whereas the most eye-catching object was a vintage Russian Volga car – the sendiest riders jumped it in the final hour of the jam.
The invited and amateur Russian riders – including Artyom Smolin, Arthur Kurgak, Egor Chebanov, Anton ‘Brook’ Borodachev, Vitaly Sukhomesov, 12-year-old Pyotr Ershov and many more – did their best to bag swag and cash for tricks, and when all was said and done the Rider of the Day title was won by pro rider Denis ‘Bonus’ Leontyev.
With branded burgers and the infamous Vans waffles being dished out to the crowd, plus the onslaught of high-octane urban action, the Vans Off The Wall City Session Moscow was certainly one for the books, so props to all the riders, the organisers, and a special hat-tip to ya boy Nikita for pulling it all together.
Check the highlights for the full lowdown on the hammers that got thrown!
