Red Bull have dropped a sick little animation showing what their forthcoming double halfpipe event will entail at the end of the month. Needless to say it looks pretty sick and thanks to the built in jibs that litter the lip, there should be lines for days. Peep it above.
Last week, Red Bull unveiled plans for a one-of-a-kind snowboard event set to take place at Aspen Colorado from the 22nd to the 23rd of March, in a pretty sick looking double halfpipe that they claim will be the biggest halfpipe feature ever built. They've released a fancy animation thingy giving you a virtual run down the pipe to get our appetites suitably whetted for the event, and we have to say we're excited to see this one go down.
With Terje Haakonsen already stating that there needs to be some sort of shake-up to the current state of halfpipe competitive snowboarding, this new format can only be a step in the right direction to bring in more spectators and progress halfpipe snowboarding in new and exciting directions.
