When: Mon 25th of February 2008
Where: Les Arcs, France
Around a week ago, the French resort of Les Arcs opened it's doors to snowboarders and new-school skiers for the Pull-In Session. Some of the best French riders got together on the 25th of March around an impressive "perfect jump". To describe the 'perfect jump' with a little more detail; it was a 8 1/2 m high kicker, with a 25 m gap and a 50m landing zone. Sounds more gnarly than perfect, but the riders seemed to dig it, showcasing some very fine freestyle snowboarding. Just check out the photo. An amazing 6,000 spectators gathered at the snow's edge at Arc 1800 to check out the action, followed by a night of music influenced by the urban movement with DJ's, hip-hop dancers and scribblers.
Of the invited riders, 6 managed to win the votes of the audience, which was invited to elect their pet riders by favouring them with "L.A. Euros", a pretend currency specially thought up for the occasion.
Results 1. Arthur Longo 2. Gerome Mathieu 3. Pacome Allouis
