The 4th edition of the Montafon Banked Slalom is a wrap and from what we can see in this edit, it was epic!
Another sunny day for this year's race, greeted contestants who had to battle it out on a fast and demanding course. The natural gully offered a perfect amphitheater to the audience watching and cheering racers. Much like the Mt. Baker Banked Slalom, that was the inspiration for Montafon's very own edition, everyone was invited to join, ride together and bottom-line just have a lot of fun.
Local ripper Samuel Rudigier took the win, as well as Cheyenne Loch for the girls and they will both have their names engraved in the timeless trophy. Don't forget to give out massive props to Heli Brunner, who went home with the Oldest Rider Award at 51 years (though they might as well just called him RADDEST RIDER! We hope to be like that one day).
At night, Mind's Garden plunged the town into a heavy psyche rock vibe.
Step by step, the event established its name within the snowboard community as an authentic snowboard celebration, so don't miss out on next year's edition!
