It was another close affair at Winter X games 2015 slopestye, with a stacked field of riders bringing their a-game to a perfectly sculpted course at Aspen, Colorado.
The standard of riding was higher than ever, with triple corks, flatspun 1440’s, a backside 1260 off the heels from Sage Kotsenburg and all sorts of other madness making it a contest to remember.
The final result was a perhaps a contentious one, with Mark McMorris putting down a second run that the judges deemed worthy of X Games gold, despite an incredibly sick run from Norwegian Ståle Sandbech. Don’t miss the side by side comparison later in this post and decide for yourself who you think should have taken the gold.
Sven Thorgren rounded out the men’s podium in third.
