Predictably, it was another case of triple-takes-all at Winter X Games 2015 big air, with backside triple corks dominating the podium.
But while the backside triple cork 1440 has typically been the benchmark required for the podium, last night it was backside triple cork 1620’s that were needed to post a really big score.
Mark McMorris put down a frontside triple cork 1440 and backside triple cork 1620 to post a combined score of 88 points, enough to put himself ahead of fellow Canadian Max Parrot and Japanese ripper Yuki Kadono.
