The ‘HEROES BY NATURE’ event in Zurich on November 7 will be celebrating the people, places and philosophies that made snowboarding what it is today. On the bill will be the critically acclaimed Craig Kelly profile ‘Let It Ride’ along with the World Premiere of ‘Burton Presents: Peace Park.’ Special guests, Burton riders Terje Haakonsen (NOR), Nicolas Müller (SUI), Alek Oestreng (NOR), Marko Grilc (SLO), Christian Haller (SUI) and Roope Tonteri (FIN) will be flying in to introduce the films and answer questions from the pan-European audience.

RUNNING ORDER

The ‘HEROES BY NATURE’ night in Zurich will be beamed live via satellite to more than 45 digital cinemas in Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Finland and Romania.
Red carpet arrivals at the Pathé Dietlikon will begin at 7.30pm and will be broadcast live to all participating screens across Europe. The main show will start at 8pm when host Tim Warwood will introduce the first feature, ‘Let It Ride’. Following the end credits, Tim will then welcome the cast and crew of both films on stage for a special Q&A session before introducing the World Premiere of Burton Presents: Peace Park.

Seven-time world snowboarding champion Craig Kelly was one of the first superstars of the sport. However, at the height of his fame, he chose to give it all up to conquer the challenge of big-mountain back-country riding. His spiritual affinity with the wilderness and personal do-what-makes-you-happy creed made him an inspiration for generations of riders. This funny, exhilarating and heart wrenching film brings together many years of interviews to tell Craig’s part in the evolution of snowboarding.

BURTON PRESENTS: PEACE PARK
Peace Park is the next evolution of the low-pressure, progressive park environment that began with Peace Pipe in 2012. Heavy collaboration between Burton, Mountain Dew, Snow Park Technology, and Danny Davis led to the creation of one of the most innovative pipe/park setups in history, bringing together top tier competitive athletes in a freestyle, non-competitive environment. The event was hosted by Squaw Mountain in the Spring of 2013 and brought back the camaraderie, friendship, good times, and snowboarding progression that typical contests and filming sessions rarely do.
