The first ever Forum team week kicker off this summer in Hintertux, Austria. With over 50 riders from every country possible including Estonia, Bulgaria, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland, Finland, Norway and the UK it was an amazing week in the Zillertal. Also over after just finishing filming their parts for THAT were Travis Kennedy, Jake Blauvelt, Stevie Bell and Jake Welch all of whom got stuck into the Austrian way of life with schnitzels and schnapps as standard throughout the week.

The first day was met with 50 cm of fresh powder for everyone to shred which soon got torn apart by the eager riders with Jake Welch showing his ability to take flat landings and bounce away whilst Jenner Richard, Global Team Manager, managed to show his prowess at powder induced front flips. After a spot of Lunch at the Gasthof Weinstadl the riders all headed to play Das Spiel in the woods of Gingsling. Complete with military fatigues and AK 47s the crew were at home within minutes of entering the war zone. Jake Blauvelt showed he has a killer instinct by waiting in bunkers for up to an hour at a time just to get the shot. It’s always about getting the shot to riders, eh?

The next couple of days saw some football and a lot of skating at the bowl of Brixlegg and the skateparks in Aschau and at the Horbergbahn with some tasty skating from all on show, whilst on hill there was some dodgy weather but a highest ollie contest and an assault course kept the troops entertained followed by a couple of obligatory trips to Scotland Yard.

Everyone raced the road to the glacier and got shredding.

Then it came. We woke up on the Thursday morning to be greeted by blazing sunshine so everyone raced the road to the glacier and got shredding. The Dutch crew of Tijs Goosens, Jules Zuidwijk and Jesse Augustino were up already and getting shot after shot and setting the pace. The next standouts were the Estonian team, lead by Mark Dubas, all of whom were giving it everything on the kickers. Swiss rider Mike Knobel was showing some serious moves with his backside 7 chicken wings and backside 5 nose grabs. The US riders also made their presence felt with shout a trick contest with the frontside 180 melon proving their undoing. With such an amazing day under their belts all the riders retired early to chill and spend the evening together.

The last day made everyone realise what an amazing week we had had as we gave out boards to the two standout shredders, Jesse Augustino, 12, and Benjamin from Sweden who was 9. They both were up before everyone else, skating, playing football, riding and having the time of their lives riding with their heroes. It seems their favourite rider is now Stevie Bell thanks to his skills on a skateboard as well as a snowboard. The final night was a fantastic farewell as everyone got clothes, boards, bodies signed by other riders, exchanged numbers so they can all hook up and keep the summer vibe going right through the winter.
