When it comes to the number of world-class riders in attendance, there aren’t many events out there that can hold a candle to Dew Tour. It’s a shame, then, to see such a potentially prestigious international event framed mainly in terms of how it affects qualification for the USA’s Olympic team.
One minute we’re getting the live scores, the next an accumulative tally of how each American rider has fared in the race for Pyeongcheng spots. If proof were needed that snowboarding might be taking the ‘lympics just a little too seriously, this is surely it.

At least it was a pretty good weekend for the Stars and Stripes, so there was plenty for the commentators to talk about. She only needed one run to outclass the rest of the field, bumping Kelly Clark and Arielle Gold into second and third respectively.
