The first Blue Parks Euro Camp at Dachstein is a wrap and proved to be a full-on success for everyone involved...

From October 27th to November 2nd the snow park high up on the Dachstein glacier in Austria was crowded with shred-heads thirsty to improve their snowboarding skills. Of course we didn't want to miss out on the all the fun times going down and swapped the office chair for the t-bar for a day.

Arriving on site we could instantly feel the good vibes from the campers who had become homies in no time and pushed each other upon learning new tricks and giving it their all.

There were a couple of groms with potential for a bright future in the world of professional snowboarding as well as campers who snowboarded just for the love of it and wanted to get better when cruising the slopes. They were all given good tips from Kalle and the rest of the coaches, who made time for everyone that needed help and advice.

Much to the campers contentment the rest of the Vans team stopped by to hang out with them and pass on some of their experience. Cheryl Maas, Will Smith, Markus Keller and Sami Luhtanen spend some good times and seemed to be enjoying the day with the rest of the crew.

One of the highlights was the photo shoot with Markus Fischer that went down on a small jump, where they got a first glimpse at what it's like to work together with a professional photog and put in some effort to get a good image out of it. Check out the gallery to see some of their shots!

Glaciers can be unpredictable and Dachstein is no exception, but when the whiteout hit, Kalle and his team had the snake run prepared for the campers and the Vans team to razz down and race each other.

When it came to building a kicker, everyone had to lend a hand and it was done in no time to be sessioned with some serious front- and backflipping. There was plenty of programme off the slopes too, skate sessions, movie screenings and even a Halloween party to keep the crowd entertained. It proved to be a fun week with a mellow and really chill vibe, everyone got along and pushed each other to raise the riding level. We surely can't wait for the next edition of the Blue Parks Euro Camp!

Until then, hit up their Facebook page with a like, because they got plenty more stuff in store for you over the season. Next up for example is the Blue Parks Kids Tour..
