How sick was that jib-spectacle going down at Seebuck last weekend? Super-motivated guys and girls showed up and fought for cash and goodies for tricks while enjoying the spring-like bluebird.
Let’s start from the very beginning: weather and snow conditions around that time of the year made the preparations for the badenova Masters Feldberg extremely difficult. In a cloak-and-dagger operation, park designer Jure Gradic and his team relocated the park to “Resilift” to make use of the available snow-cushion. The guys built up a great setup, consisting of 13 obstacles and it was agreed that the mode of the badenova Masters Feldberg will be switched from a QParks Tour contest to a Shred Poker. Following the motto “All In”, the shredheads were to exchange spectacular riding into desired poker chips, which were given out by the speaker. At the end of the session, the riders traded their collected chips into cash and sweet goodies from TSG, AMPLIFI, QParks, Pinetime Clothing and Planet Sports.
After a free session at the beginning, the boys and girls fought in a half-hour final battle for the last chips. Speaker Vincent Frey called various tricks and the riders delivered. That peaked in almost successful double front flips over the Wallride Spine, as the edit proves! Local shredqueen Annika Bartmann’s jibbing-game was on top and she won the ladies category. The winner of the men’s category wasn’t found as easily though. After two hours of relentless battle between Jan Berndt and Lukas Kortmann, they agreed on a tie and split the pot of 350€ cash. Thomas Angst from Switzerland became third and went home with 100€ in his pockets.
Jan Berndt was super excited by this nice session: “It was a mega-nice day and the guys really provided us with a sweet setup.” “All of the Feldberg locals were here, which was pretty sick”, Jan said happily.
After the session, the riders relaxed and enjoyed not only the Blackforest-sun but also some free BBQ and drinks. However, if you think that the shredheads did nothing but chill after the official part, you are wrong and obviously have never met any of the Feldberg-locals. Even after the Shred Poker was declared over, the motivation among the boys and girls didn’t run dry and they continued shredding the setup. That’s the way we know and love badenova Snowpark Feldberg and its crews!
