Style and Legends at the 2015 South America Rookie Fest – Riders from all over South America join the 6th edition of SARF and meet Bryan Iguchi.
The Black Yeti and his rookies landed for the 6th time in Chile for the 2015 South America Rookie Fest, the kick of event of the 2015.16 World Rookie Tour. The event gather in Valle Nevado rookies from South America, Europe and snowboard legend Bryan Iguchi. The program offered a WST slopestyle competition and many other activities: some freeride experience in Valle Nevado backcountries, Surf and Skate sessions, visit to Santiago de Chile and Unesco heritage Valparaiso.
The 6th edition of the South America Rookie Fest slopestyle was the first contest of the 2015.16 World Rookie Tour. The slopestyle course, well shaped by the Gap Snowpark Crew, included several rails and two kicker sets. Good vibes and iconic “chilling chilean” mood were the trademark of this event: rookies and grooms had a great competition and showcased a great level of riding. The rookies had also the opportunity to share some time with snowboard legend Bryan Iguchi.
Fede Chiaradio from Argentina resulted the best rider of the event: he joined the SARF several time, from the grom age untill this latest edition. Years ago he won a trip to Europe thanks to the Rookie Fest and now the Black Yeti will wait him one more time on the Alps at the 2016 World Rookie Finals to be held next April in Ischgl, Austria.
