EuroSIMA are organising Snowboard D-Day to take place on Sunday December 17th, 2006 in snow resorts throughout Europe.

The first edition of the event will be an authentic 'open day', which will enable the masses, from beginners through to experts of all ages, to discover snowboarding culture and experience the excitement of snowboarding during one day - for free!

French Champion Mathieu Crepel is one of the world’s best freestyle athletes and has come on board to be an ambassador for Snowboard D-Day. A 2006 TTR World Snowboard Tour winner and 2005 FIS World Cup Halfpipe Champion, Mathieu is showing his support for the event by pledging to try and beat the world record for the longest handrail ever grinded on Snowboard D-Day. He will take up the challenge in La Mongie in the French Pyrenees with his pro rider friends.
