New British company SNOW SEASON JAPAN is the first to offer season holidays in a choice of Japan’s best locations, opening up Japanese culture and world class powder conditions to UK snowboarders.
Japan is now firmly on the map as a top powder destination. With sections in every year’s DVD releases, Japan is becoming the pro’s favorite shred destination, generating many stories on the epic conditions and enchanting culture to be found in Japan. Foreign visitor numbers to Japanese ski resorts are increasing, until now mostly limited to one area, Hokkaido. SNOW SEASON JAPAN is making two world class destinations in Japan, Hakuba and Myoko, available to the UK winter sports market with tailor made long stay season holidays.
Who we are SNOW SEASON JAPAN is a new rider-owned and run British company based in the Japanese Alps, with 8 years experience of living and riding in Japan. SNOW SEASON JAPAN was born from the desire of two friends to share the unbelievable riding and amazing winter lifestyle we found here in Japan. As individuals who are passionate about the snow, mountains, travel and culture, our mission is to run a business that reflects this. The SNOW SEASON JAPAN team is one skier and one snowboarder, originally from Scotland and England respectively. With extensive local knowledge we have guided international pro snowboarders and skiers to the sweetest spots, both on and off the hill.
What we offer We are the first to offer all-inclusive winter seasons in hand-picked locations in the Japanese Alps. Small scale and personal, limited to 16 clients for winter 2008/2009, enriched by Japanese language lessons and cultural guiding, SNOW SEASON JAPAN makes the Japanese winter experience accessible.
Our season trip includes: 12 weeks accommodation in a beautiful wooden lodge with it’s own Japanese bath house, airport transfers, season pass, beginners Japanese language course, 2 days on-piste guiding, guided backcountry tour, ski/snowboard tune-up tutorial and cultural trip to an amazing mid-winter fire festival. As hosts, we’ll personally be on hand all season to show guests everything Japan has to offer, from the coolest local bars and restaurants to finding the best hot springs to relax in after a day in the park and powder.
