Ride On at Kitzsteinhorn Coming Up!

If you don’t know by know that the Kitzsteinhorn boasts a sick park and a real halfpipe it’s your own fault. But to make up for it you might as sign up for the “Ride On” event…

Whilst in some resorts cows are already grazing on the slopes, the freestyle action in the Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn keeps on rolling. On the 16th and 17th of April 2011, the Kitzsteinhorn Ride On will attract snowboarders for the last extraordinary contest of the season on the Kitzsteinhorn for one more showcase of tricks and skills.

All snowboarders who can’t get enough of the white gold can look forward to a first class freestyle event at the Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn. While some snowparks already close their doors by mid-April, the season at the Kitzsteinhorn will continue until June. This year, the Kitzsteinhorn Ride On contest celebrates its debut. A lot of freestylers will have the honors to battle each other for a sick prize money of EUR 4000 and goodies from NITRO and SUBWAY worth EUR 2000! On Saturday, 16th of April, the battle will start for all snowboarders and subsequently on Sunday, 17th of April it’s time for people who don’t like snowboarding to show their skills. On both days, smooth DJ sounds and massive entertainment will accompany the contest.

Saturday’s contest is open to all snowboarders. The judging is split into following categories:

1st Category: boys & girls “rookies” (16 and younger)
2nd Category: boys &girls (from incl. 17 years)

During the whole day a photographer and a filmer will be around in the park to catch the atmosphere and pictures. You can check the final outcome afterwards on our park website www.snowpark.kitzsteinhorn.at.

There is no starting fee, the participation to the Kitzsteinhorn Ride On is free. You can register online at www.qparks.com or on-site. All riders will get their starting numbers and further contest information at the race office.

Aside of the contest, the Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn will be open for all jibbers and freestyle fans. The park offers a sweet mix of easy and pro obstacles, starting from boxes and rails over to kickers in all sizes and variations!
