After the stop in Phoenix Park, Korea, the World Rookie Tour returns to Europe for the Swatch TTR 2star slope style “Protest Balkan Rookie Fest 2009" in Kopaonik, Serbia!
Rookies from all Balkans and East Europe are expected to join this event in order to conquer valuable points for the World Rookie ranking and two tickets for the Protest World Rookie Finals 2009 in Ischgl, Austria.
Kopaonik is the biggest ski resort in Serbia with a maximum altitude of 2.017 meters. Since 2002 the serbian association Udruzenje Freestylera organizes the most important balkan snowboard events in this area, including several international freestyle competitions. At the Protest Balkan Rookie Fest Kopaonik there will be a 400 meters long snowpark on a slope with 12 degrees steepness featuring table tops from 7 to 17 meters, several boxes and rails including the Navara Battleship Box and a final wall ride.
Prizes for the Protest Balkan Rookie Fest: Two all inclusive tickets to the Protest World Rookie Finals 2009 from 15 to 19 April in Ischgl, Austria. Three tickets for the Protest Surf Camp in Lacanau, France, each including 300 euros travel budget.
